Devbrio in Northern Quebec

The IMAGEM system was selected for graphite exploration at Lac Tétépisca because of its ability to detect good conductors. The Lac Tétépisca survey covered 7.5 km2 of rough topography terrain in the Canadian Precambrian Shield with a line spacing of 100 m. A MaxMin survey was conducted in parallel with IMAGEM in some areas of the survey grid to serve as a basis for comparison. Both the MaxMin and IMAGEM systems achieved a similar daily production of approximately 4 line-km but topography variations had a more deleterious effect on the MaxMin data. The IMAGEM data, which requires minimal processing and can be quickly displayed, featured numerous prominent anomalies interpreted to coincide with graphite deposits.
